With over 40 years of North Carolina focused real estate experience, Jerry possesses a wealth of expertise and knowledge in all areas of business, from luxury residential properties to resorts and large-scale developments. 

As a lifelong Tar Heel and graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, Jerry is a proud native to our state. After graduating from UNC, Jerry found himself in the NC mountains, where he co-owned three ski shops, helping to promote the NC ski boom of the 70’s and 80’s. Moving to the Triangle area in the mid 80's, he became highly immersed in multi-use commercial and residential real estate development, spending twenty years working in this facet of the business.

Jerry is one of the original developers of Beech Mountain and has contributed to the development of numerous resort properties in the North Carolina mountains, also including Linville, Boone/Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Grandfather Golf and Country Club. He is a member of The Order of Gimghoul, one of the highest Honoraries at Carolina, and has served on the Board of Directors for the development corporation of The Elk River Golf Club.    

His love of the coastal lifestyle led to a 40 year quest for billfish on big game tournament circuits throughout the East Coast, Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico, and Indian Ocean. Today, his fishing passion is chasing trophy tarpon with a fly rod in Islamorada and the Florida Keys. Traveling is also a favorite pastime with Italy, Africa, the Virgin Islands, and lower Caribbean as frequent destinations. He has been a full time resident of Wilmington, NC since 2003.
